IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING FACE MASKS - if you are invited to attend the practice for a face to face appointment you must wear a face covering eg face mask or scarf. Those who feel they are exempt from wearing a face mask due to age, health or disability reason must inform a member of staff on arrival.

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma and diabetes. They carry out cervical smears and ear syringing.

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
